St. Lucie Man Arrested For Home Invasion And Battery Of An 83 Year-old

Fifty-six year-old Stuart Maynard Clark was arrested for beating and robbing a 83 year-old woman. The incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015. The woman told police officers that she woke up to find Clark punching her and demanding money. The woman fought back by hitting Clark with a cane and kicking him in the groin area.

Clark stole the woman’s wallet, which reportedly had over $800 in cash. The woman had bruises and cuts on her body. She was treated at the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center And Heart Institute. A tip from the Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers helped authorities find Clark. He lived one street away from the victim.

Clark had a cut on his forehead, which he stated came from cutting trees. He also had blood stains on his pants. Clark stated that he knew the victim, but he denied being involved in the home invasion. According to witnesses, Clark did not have any injuries on the day of the incident.

Clark has multiple charges. He has been charged with resident home invasion without a weapon or firearm, battery on a person who is 65 or older and larceny less than $10,000 from a person who is 65 or older.

Battery can carry serious consequences. If you are charged with battery, then you may be required to pay a fine or spend time in jail. That is why if you have been falsely accused of battery, then you need to have an attorney on your side. Jonathan Jay Kirschner can help you if you need a St. Lucie battery defense attorney.

A person is supposed to be considered innocent until he or she is proven guilty. Jonathan still believes in that statement. He knows that battery charges can ruin a person’s life. That is why he will fight hard to defend the innocent.

Fort Pierce Criminal Lawyer Jonathan’s goal is to right the wrong so that people will be able to move on with their lives. He believes that the justice system is flawed and far too many innocent people are in jail. However, he will do everything in his power to make sure that the innocent do not end up in jail.
