St. Lucie County Felony Arrests: May 17, 2018

During the 24 hours that encompassed May 17, a total of 10 individuals were arrested in Saint Lucie County on felony drug charges. Variations on the type of crime that resulted in arrest existed, while the type of drug differed as did the status of the drug itself.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly selling cocaine, a 29-year-old man was brought in for allegedly possessing heroin and a 33-year-old man was picked up for possession of both cocaine and heroin. In that same vein, two Saint Lucie men, one age 36 and the other 39, and a 33-year-old Fort Pierce woman were arrested for purportedly buying heroin.

Among the remaining four, a 34-year-old Lauderhill man and a 33-year-old man from Fort Pierce are facing the most serious charges. Both were arrested for the possession and sale or intent to sell, manufacture or deliver heroin. The Lauderhill man also faced similar charges regarding fentanyl, while the man from Fort Pierce was dealing with cocaine possession and trafficking charges.

Rounding out this group were a 58-year-old man facing charges for possession of cocaine and a 30-year-old woman in possession of non-prescription xanax. Many of these individuals were also in possession of a two-way communication device at the time of their arrest.
