Port St. Lucie Drug ArrestIn the Port St. Lucie area of Florida, a home was raided by police and searched for the second time in three months. This time, however, the police made a pair of arrests on individuals in the same household on Thursday, December 6, 2018. Two siblings were taken into custody and charged with drug related crimes, according to a police spokesman.

The Port St. Lucie spokesman stated that at around 6 AM, the home, which is located in the 200 block of Southwest Starflower Avenue, was raided by investigators. The home resides in the east of Florida’s Turnpike and is situated between Southwest Thornhill Drive and Southwest St. Lucie Boulevard.

According to the police spokesman, the police officers uncovered a variety of drugs, including marijuana and crack cocaine, as well as various drug paraphernalia and $5,200 in cash.

The two brothers, aged 44 and 41, were arrested for various drug charges and were taken into custody. Previously, the Port St. Lucie police had performed a search on the home after obtaining a warrant to do so. During that time, the police said that in a bedroom belonging to one of the brothers and a woman, they found crack cocaine, marijuana, two riles, two handguns, ammunition for both firearms and over $1,600 in cash, according to their records.

In a separate bedroom that belonged to the younger brother, the police uncovered two handguns and ammunition, as well as marijuana blunts that had been partially smoked and residue from cocaine. In addition, they also found over $1,400 in cash in the living room, as well as things that tested positive for drugs.

The spokesman said there was a need to gain a second search warrant to obtain the drugs, paraphernalia, weapons and money that the brothers had due to illegal activity.

The brothers were being held in the St. Lucie County Jail shortly after their arrest. The older sibling was held on bail amounting $30,750, but the status of the younger one wasn’t immediately known.
