The woman allowed officers on the scene to execute a search of the home and a shed that was on the property. A report filed by the police state that a plastic bottle was discovered inside the shed with the words ‘Girl Scout Cookies’ printed on the label. The label also contained a warning against using heavy machinery.
There were other plastic bottles in the shed that contained labels reading ‘Blue Kush,’Skittles,’ and Purple Punch. There were marijuana products and paraphernalia found also in other locations in the home.
The woman was arrested for two counts of possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana. She was also charged with a single count of possession or use of drug equipment.
The Girl Scouts began selling cookies in 1917. The scouts produced their own cookies with the support of community members for a number of years. The Girl Scouts began licensing commercial bakers to produce their cookies in 1936. The cookies are available in several flavors including the popular chocolate mint flavor.
The Girl Scouts of America do not offer a marijuana-flavored cookie and are not involved with the cannabis industry.
