Burglary in Port St. Lucie

The TC Palm recently reported the arrest of a Port St. Lucie man in his home on Sunday. According to police, he had several stolen items on him that were taken from six vehicles in the Sundance Trail/ Southwest Cyrilla Trail area. Derrick Ronald Sheltra, 24, had taken several personal items from the vehicles and a neighbor had reported him while he was trying to open one of the cars. An off-duty detective of the Port St. Lucie police was able to identify the man and stepped outside to approach him. The suspect is in dire need of a great Port St Lucie Burglary Lawyer – he was charged with four counts of armed auto burglary, three counts of grand theft, two counts of auto burglary, possession of a stolen credit card as well as possession of 3 grams or less of synthetic marijuana. His bond was set to $143,250, while he is held at the St. Lucie County Jail.

The amount of charges in this case is not unusual – Florida legislature labels an abundant amount of activities and behavior as criminal and Law Enforcement authorities are held to a high standard to make sure these laws get enforced. With a continuously developing and changing legislative process, it can be hard to be up to date on current laws and legal implications.
