Sharonda Johnson of Fort Pierce is being charged with three felonies after she stole a laptop and later attempted to pawn it, according to an arrest affidavit. Johnson is a criminal justice instructor at Fort Pierce Central High School.
Johnson was charged with giving false information to a pawnbroker, third degree grand theft, and dealing in stolen property. These charges came after she stole a laptop computer from a Rent-A-Center location and later attempted to sell it to a pawnbroker.
Johnson works in the Career and Technical Education department at Fort Pierce Central High School, and she has been employed there since 1994. In 2009, she won the Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award.
